I am Eva Flaherty - the face behind the lens at Wunderkind.
I am a German transplant, born and raised in Hesse, Germany, who followed their heart (and husband) to scenic New England, USA.
I am a Natural Light Photographer, with a background in Law and Art, who is passionate about bringing authentic, yet carefully curated photography into your homes.
When not behind a lens, I am most likely found chasing barefoot after ‘Wunderkinder’ of my own: two two-legged and one four-legged one.
As a Veteran- (Go, ARMY!) and firefighter-wife, I am especially passionate about giving back to our public servants (we offer special deals for this Nation’s heroes!!).
I strive to capture connection between people, time, and place: The moments between sunrise and sunset; first kisses and first dances. The moments between fresh, tiny, wrinkly feet and pitter-patters down the hallway. The moments between that same hallway and putting on your big-person-shoes to hike mountains, to see the sun rising past the valley. The moments between "I'm not sure if I can do this" and "I did it!". I made that. I AM that. The giggly snuggles, the whispers, lovers' stolen kisses, wiped away tears; the laugh (and life) lines, the goose bumps, the soft baby peach fuzz softly stroked by a grandmother's warm hand. The moments in time, you don't ever want to forget.

Favorite Meal:
There’s nothing better in my book than a slow-cooked Osso buco or braised short-ribs. Oh, and if you are ever in Intervale, NH, please try the Cranberry Pot Roast at Tuckerman’s Tavern and thank me later.
Favorite Hobby:
I am a big outdoor-person and love taking our star-child Brady (our black Pointerdor) on hikes, as well as cooking and hosting (I despise baking, although I make a pretty decent apple strudel).
In a former life (a.k.a. pre-kids), I loved horse-back-riding, playing tennis and drawing.
Places I’ve Been:
From the remote corners of Tanzania, Africa to canoeing Swedish lakes, I’ve been to quite a few places, which shaped me into the person I am today.
Guilty Pleasure:
My guilty pleasure is quite cliché: Indulging in Bravo Trash TV, or reading Scandinavian Crime-Thriller, all while devouring preferably lemon posset or Mousse au chocolat.
How would I describe myself:
I am a - somewhat level-headed - hopeless romantic (I mean, I followed my heart and married someone from the other side of the globe). What can I say - I love LOVE, the stories it writes and what love is capable of creating: art, a home, families. I cannot wait to hear about YOUR love story.
Fun fact:
What most people don’t know about me, is that for 12 years I was mentored by a local artist, who not only taught me all the compositional guidelines and classic rules of ‘art’, but who also ignited my passion for creating said art myself - back then mainly through drawing and painting with oil paint, nowadays I apply that same set of skills and knowledge about artistic composition and light to photography.

Before The Session

During The Session
99% of the time the first few minutes of any photoshoot can feel a bit like uncharted territory, until you naturally relax & feel confident in front of the camera. We will help you do this! We will be playing your favorite music and talk you through it all. Our goal is for you to just let go and have fun while we capture your images. We may gently prompt interactions to capture sincere expressions, and guide you with your posing, so you never have to wonder what to do next.
We like to keep the session interactive and as stress-free as possible, to capture you at your best, so you love your images, but also have an amazing experience to look back to!

After The Session
You are going to receive your beautifully hand-edited gallery in jpeg-format through a password-protected online gallery service, where you can view, favorite, download, and even share your photos with friends and family.
